This is the Old School Chalet which is now ready to receive visitors as renovations were finished in April. This page will take you inside the chalet to give you an idea as to the quality of accommodation offered. The Old School Chalet has laminated flooring with a Cherry wood finish and is fully UPVC Double glazed. There are four rooms in the chalet they are 2 bedrooms, an open plan living area and a bathroom with toilet.The Old School Chalet offers comfortable accommodation above a stretch of unspoilt sandy beach and rocky inlet were you can relax and watch seals at play or appreciate the unique view of Harris's spectacular West coast from the hills in the North to the Sandy beaches and machair along the coast.
In terms of accommodation the chalet has sleeping capacity for a maximum of six persons, there are two bedrooms in the Old School Chalet and they are laid out as follows:
In the open plan living area there is a kitchen/Dining area with a gas hob/oven, an oil fired stove that provides heating and permanent hot water, a fridge (no freezer) and a full range of kitchen utensils. The seating area is situated by the double glazed screen in the corner of the room allowing for spectacular views across the Sound of Taransay.
The wooden decked veranda has steps down to the beach in front of the chalet and there is a set of wooden patio furniture for guests use.
